Great Southern Trucking Recognized

8/31/2002

ABBEVILLE, AL - Great Southern Trucking has been recognized by Common Carrier Journal in its annual report of carriers in the nation.

Published each August, the report highlighted the company's excellent performance in the areas of "post-tax profit margins" and "most improved annual revenues." The report ranks smaller carriers by their operating ratio and includes companies with earned gross revenues of more than $10 million but less than $60 million.

"We're very pleased to be included in this report again this year," said Great Southern Vice-President of Logistics Kevin Savoy. "We continue to see improvements from one end of our organization to the other, and that teamwork is what makes the difference for us," he added. "Now that we have over 200 trucks in operation, we simply have to work smarter every day to manage our assets and to get the job done for our customers."

A complete listing of the Common Carrier Journal rankings is available in the August 2002 issue or at their website (www.industrialmediagroup.com/ccj_home.shtml).
